Jaylen Brown might not be going out of his way to throw down highlight-reel slams in the near future, but don’t expect the Boston Celtics swingman to take dunking out of his game altogether.
Brown, who’s already established himself as one of the NBA’s best dunkers, took a scary fall after stuffing one home in the Celtics’ win over the Minnesota Timberwolves on March 8. The second-year forward entered the league’s concussion protocol following the spill, but he fortunately avoided a serious injury.
The 21-year-old is set to return to game action Sunday after missing Boston’s last six contests. Prior to the game against the Kings in Sacramento, Brown addressed his dunking future, and it sounds like jamming the rock always will be a part of his game in some capacity.
Jaylen on dunking again: "We’ll see. I still haven’t went up for a dunk. We’ll see how it goes. But sometimes you just can’t help it."

While Brown can dunk with the best of them, it’s hardly the premier facet of his game. He’s one of the Celtics’ best two-way players, and his return ahead of the postseason is a big sigh of relief to a C’s team depleted with injuries.
