A pair of long-time absentees will clash early in the NCAA Tournament’s Round of 64.
No. 3 Tennessee will take on No. 14 Wright State on Thursday afternoon at America Airlines Center in Dallas. The South Region matchup will feature a Volunteers team that hasn’t appeared in the NCAA Tournament in four years and a Wright State squad that returns to the Big Dance for the first time in 11 years.
Tennessee was 25-8 in the regular season, winning a share of the SEC regular-season championship and finishing runner-up in the SEC Tournament.
Wright State finished second in the Horizon League regular season but won the conference tournament.
