Zdeno Chara Honors ‘Precious, Beautiful’ Children In Amazing Instagram

The Instagram hits just keep on coming from Zdeno Chara.

Since joining the social-media moshpit in January, the Boston Bruins defenseman has churned out one deep, reflective post after the next. Be they heartwarming tributes to his teammates, reflections on pigeons or love letters to moms, Chara’s posts have been must-sees.

But the 40-year-old Slovak might’ve outdone himself Thursday. In perhaps his deepest post yet, Chara penned a thoughtful homage to children.

“Children are very precious and beautiful small human beings. They are so soft and yet so tough,” Chara wrote. “As parents, they makes us the happiest in the world and if something happens, most scared as well. So pure and honest that one asks how hard it is to sustain these qualities for a lifetime.

“So much is judged and measured by how much money we make and how rich we get. Let’s not educate our children to be rich. Let’s teach them how to be happy. So when they grow up they will know the true value of things and not the price. #brothers #sister#love #happiness #siblings #education#values”

Epic.

For a man so unafraid to drop the gloves and bloody his opponents, Chara truly might be the most gentle soul in the NHL.
