If you’re familiar with Danica Patrick’s Instagram account, you know she’s much better at yoga than most Earth-dwellers.
The racing superstar just can’t seem to master one pose in particular, however.
“I’m forever in pursuit of kapotasana, which is basically like camel pose where you grab your heels in a backbend,” Patrick recently told For The Win. “It’s like a super, super tight backbend, and you have to have good shoulder flexibility and be able to open your chest up, because you grab your heels basically with your head on the ground in a backbend while your knees are on the ground, which is just a super deep backbend.
“So I’ll probably be in pursuit of that for most of my life.”
Assuming Patrick hasn’t stopped training since she posted this Instagram, it’s hard to imagine her kapotasana needing much refining. But hey, considering her insatiable appetite for working out, Patrick doesn’t strike us as someone who ever settles.
However, she’ll take a break from flexing and stretching for the upcoming Indianapolis 500, which will be Patrick’s final race as a professional driver.
