Nate Diaz Comes Out Firing On Twitter After Conor McGregor Bus Attack

Nate Diaz wasn’t directly involved in the chaos that erupted Thursday at Barclays Center, but that didn’t stop him from chiming in on social media.

Conor McGregor and his entourage caused quite a scene after UFC 223 Media Day, attacking a van transporting Khabib Nurmagomedov, who is scheduled to fight Max Holloway for the UFC lightweight championship this Saturday. McGregor since has been charged with three counts of assault and one count of criminal mischief for his role in the incident, during which The Notorious and his crew chucked objects at the van, shattering a window and injuring fighter Michael Chiesa.

Some folks wondered whether McGregor was upset about being stripped of the title, which he won from Eddie Alvarez at UFC 205 in November 2016 but never defended. However, Nurmagomedov was involved in a hotel altercation with McGregor’s close friend and SBG Ireland training partner Artem Lobov earlier this week, so perhaps that was the motive behind Thursday’s madness.

If that’s the case, Nurmagomedov and his group had it coming, according to Diaz, who dropped the following tweet Thursday:

What do you think?  Leave a comment.

That said, Diaz, whose last two fights have come against McGregor, wasn’t going to let his longtime rival off the hook. He followed up with this tweet ripping both McGregor and Nurmagomedov:

Diaz and McGregor split their previous two fights, with the former winning at UFC 196 in March 2016 and the latter winning at UFC 202 in August 2016. And while Diaz never has fought Nurmagomedov inside the octagon, the two were involved in an altercation at a World Series of Fighting event in 2015.
