NFL Suspends Free-Agent QB Mark Sanchez For First Four Games Of 2018 Season
Mark Sanchez’s career took another bad turn Friday.
The free-agent quarterback was suspended for the first four games of the upcoming NFL season, per ESPN’s Field Yates.
NFL Media’s James Palmer provided further details.
Free agent Mark Sanchez has been suspended without pay for the first four games of the 2018 regular season for violating the NFL policy on performance-enhancing substances.
Sanchez is eligible to participate in all offseason and preseason practices and games.

Sanchez responded to the news by releasing a statement on his Instagram page, saying he was “blindsided” by the news.
It’ll be interesting to see how much, if at all, this hurts Sanchez’s chances of being signed before training camp or the preseason. Of course, injuries could force a desperate team to take a chance on him during the season.
Sanchez last played in a game during the 2016 season for the Dallas Cowboys. He was on the Chicago Bears roster in 2017 but did not see regular-season game action.
