The Boston Red Sox are coming face-to-face with a unique talent Tuesday.
The Red Sox will kick off a three-game road series against the Los Angeles Angels by taking on rookie phenom Shohei Ohtani, who’s scheduled to start on the mound opposite Boston starter David Price.
Ohtani is much more than a pitcher, though: The two-way Japanese star also is a legitimate slugger and has three home runs in eight games as a designated hitter.
The Red Sox, of course, have had some notable dual threats throughout their history. (Perhaps the name “Babe Ruth” rings a bell?) Which leads us to our Trivia Question of the Week: Who was the last Red Sox pitcher to hit a home run in a regular season game?
