Yankees’ CC Sabathia Leaves Game With Hip Soreness; Will Undergo MRI

New York Yankees starting pitcher CC Sabathia left Friday night’s game against the Baltimore Orioles with injury after pitching just four innings.

The team announced Sabathia will undergo an MRI after leaving the game with right hip soreness.

Sabathia threw 58 pitches before exiting the game, and although he showed no signs of being in pain, he was roughed up in the start after allowing three solo home runs: two to third baseman Manny Machado and one to first baseman Chris Davis.

The 37-year-old is familiar with the disabled list, as he served two DL stints during the 2017 season with knee and hamstring injuries.
