Yes, Devers is just 24
With one swing of the bat, Rafael Devers contributed to the Boston Red Sox’s hefty lead over the Houston Astros in Game 3 of the American League Championship Series and landed in the franchise record books alongside some pretty impressive names.
Devers launched a solo home run in the eighth inning of Monday’s 12-3 win, marking the fourth home run of the showdown at Fenway Park. The hit gave him his 25th career postseason RBI, a new MLB record for players under the age of 25, and ranked him fourth in Red Sox history for most career postseason RBIs.
He is tied with Dustin Pedroia for fourth all-time, with only David Ortiz (57), Manny Ramirez (38) and Jason Varitek (33) ahead of them.
How’s that for an all-time team?
