Patriots Offensive Linemen Earn Metric Praise After Improved Performance

Sidy Sow and Trent Brown had strong performances on Sunday

The New England Patriots had their best offensive performance of the season, particularly because the offensive line turned in its best outing of the year in a thrilling 29-25 victory over the Buffalo Bills.

Mac Jones had time to throw the ball while Rhamondre Stevenson and Ezekiel Elliott consistently hit holes to establish the run in the divisional win.

In particular, two specific linemen earned significant recognition for their performances on Sunday.

Sidy Sow posted an 86.4 grade from Pro Football Focus for the win, recording the second-highest grade among Week 7 guards and the highest for a rookie during the 2023 season.

On the other side of the line, Trent Brown bounced back in a big way, ending the week as PFF’s highest-rated left tackle after the victory.

The Patriots finally looked like a capable offense and Bill O’Brien got to call a game with the capabilities that once appeared doable for New England. When the Patriots win at the line of scrimmage, the offense has a chance to compete for wins on a consistent basis.
