Alex Cora Leads Red Sox Reaction To Jarren Duran’s All-Star Game Home Run

Duran made the most of his first appearance

The Boston Red Sox earned three All-Star selections in 2024.

Jarren Duran showed exactly why he earned one of them Tuesday night.

Duran entered as a defensive replacement for New York Yankees outfielder Aaron Judge in the fifth inning of the 2024 MLB All-Star Game. He got his first at-bat in the bottom of the frame and immediately took advantage.

Duran blasted a two-run home run to right field off of Cincinnati Reds starter Hunter Greene to break a 3-1 tie and put the American League in front for the first time on the night.

His Red Sox manager quickly took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to share his excitement for the big moment for his outfielder.

“Wow!” Alex Cora posted.

The Red Sox followed as Duran turned in one of the team’s more memorable All-Star moments in recent memory.

Duran entered the All-Star break hitting .284 with an .822 OPS as well as the MLB lead in doubles (27) and triples (10).

The Red Sox outfielder took fully enjoyed the week, sporting an eye-popping suit on the red carpet and appreciating the journey that led him to his first selection.

Duran now hopes to keep the Red Sox on schedule after the team rode one of the sport’s better hot streaks of the season into the break.
