Colin Cowherd Suggests How Bill Belichick Could Torment Robert Kraft

Unfortunately for Patriots fans, there might be a path toward Bill Belichick making life difficult for New England.

Belichick reportedly has every intention of coaching again after a year away from the sideline, and he apparently has two preferences for his next job. According to Colin Cowherd, Bill Belichick wants to work on the East Coast and unsurprisingly wants to lead a franchise with a stable quarterback situation.

The Bills could check both of those boxes, and as Cowherd pointed out Wednesday, Sean McDermott might be on the hot seat in Buffalo after a string of disappointing playoff results. And if that job becomes available, “The Herd” host could see Belichick being intrigued by the possibility of sticking it to his old team.

“The Buffalo one, he could come back and rub it in the Patriots’ face,” Cowherd said on FS1.” “We know Belichick can hold grudges. You don’t think he wants to face the Patriots twice a year and rub it in Robert Kraft’s face? You’re out of your mind.”

Those aren’t the only factors that could push Belichick to Western New York. The Bills have a fairly rich history and a fiercely committed fanbase, which a football junkie like Belichick surely would appreciate. Bringing the first-ever Lombardi Trophy to Buffalo also would be the cherry on top of an iconic coaching career.

To be clear, it’s probably too early to classify Belichick coaching the Bills in 2025 as “likely.” But it also doesn’t feel reckless to say the sides could share mutual interest come January.
