Could Jets Actually Target Davante Adams After Aaron Rodgers’ Comments?

Rodgers said he looks forward to playing with Adams 'again'

Aaron Rodgers is back in the headlines and this time he’s brought longtime teammate Davante Adams with him.

“I love Davante,” Rodgers told Vegas Sports Today while preparing for the American Century Championship at Lake Tahoe. “I can’t wait to play with him.

“… Again.”

Rodgers’ comments shouldn’t come as a major surprise. After all, what quarterback wouldn’t want to play with the Las Vegas Raiders star wideout? And we’re talking about Aaron Rodgers, who has never came across a storyline he doesn’t feel the need to weigh in on.

But that doesn’t mean Rodgers and the New York Jets actually will land Adams in a blockbuster trade, right?

On latest episode of NESN’s “Foxboro Rush,” host Travis Thomas was joined by NESN.com’s Keagan Stiefel and the two discussed exactly that.

What do you think?  Leave a comment.

“There’s no chance in hell the Raiders are shipping off Davante Adams,” Stiefel said.

While Thomas can envision a situation that Adams grows frustrated with, he still can’t imagine the longtime Packer lands in New York.

“Even if he tries to force his hand — if the Raiders are smart and you have to trade Davante Adams, you better not send him to New York. You better send him somewhere else,” Thomas said. “The last thing you want to do is put him back with his boy in New York there.”
