Does Matthew Judon Want To Be Traded? Patriots Star Responds

Judon wants to stay in New England

New England Patriots linebacker Matthew Judon is not looking for a new home.

Judon is headed into the final year of his 4-year, $54.5 million contract with the Patriots. The defender believes he is worth more than what he’s currently being paid when comparing his contract to other players around the league.

Amid all of the contract hysteria, Judon retweeted a post that made it seem like he wanted to be traded earlier this week.

An X user suggested a trade that would send Judon and a second-round pick to the 49ers in exchange for a fifth-rounder and Brandon Aiyuk. Despite the cryptic retweet, Judon confirmed he does not want to be moved by the Patriots.

“Do I want to be traded? Hell no,” Judon told reporters. “I feel like when you’re traded it’s kind of like you don’t got no say in it. They just kind of tell you, ‘Hey bro, you leavin’. I don’t think nobody wants to be traded. Honestly, I don’t run my Twitter, bro.”

While Judon’s future with the Patriots is currently uncertain, he seemed comfortable at training camp Wednesday. The linebacker was interacting with fans and throwing the ball to them while warming up.
