Hilarious Reason Celtics’ Brad Stevens Was Trending On Social Media

Stevens for ... President?

Boston Celtics president of basketball operations Brad Stevens was trending on X on Sunday, but it wasn’t simply because the mastermind reportedly inked Sam Hauser to a four-year contract extension.

Fans flocked to social media to nominate Stevens as President Joe Biden’s replacement after the announcement that he had withdrawn from the United States presidential election. One fan even believes a Stevens-Danny Ainge ticket would be the best. Some fans, however, want the mastermind behind the Celtics to say “no” if the Democratic Party comes knocking.

Here are some of the best posts suggesting Stevens should be on the ballot:

Stevens obviously won’t be leaving the Celtics to join politics, but he might just see himself repeating as the NBA’s executive of the year simply for bringing back one of the most dominant teams in league history.

Jaylen Brown, Derrick White, Jrue Holiday and Hauser are all signed through the conclusion of the 2026-28 season; Jayson Tatum is locked up until 2029 and Kristaps Porzingis until the conclusion of the 2025-26 season.

Along with the core, Stevens also re-signed Luke Kornet, Neemias Queta and Xavier Tillman. He also brought back Drew Peterson and JD Davison on two-way contracts.

The only question surrounding the Celtics right now is whether or not they can repeat as NBA champions.
