The Boston Red Sox dropped a 9-6 decision to the Los Angeles Dodgers at Dodgers Stadium on Sunday night.

With the loss, the Red Sox fell to 53-45, while the Dodgers improved to 59-41.

Jarren Duran got the Red Sox on the board with his 12th home run of the season after a Romy González leadoff double, but the Dodgers quickly tied the game in the bottom of the inning.

The Dodgers exploded for five solo home runs from Freddie Freeman, Austin Barnes, Teoscar Hernández, Shohei Ohtani and Gavin Lux before the end of the fifth inning off Red Sox starter Kutter Crawford. Jason Heyward added a two-run shot in the eighth inning off Kenley Jansen to give Los Angeles the 9-3 lead.
