Red Sox’s Triston Casas Close To ‘Turning Corner’ From Injury

Could Casas return soon?

The Boston Red Sox should seek a boost next week with a promising team at the 2024 MLB trade deadline.

At the same time, Boston may have taken its next step to getting a major addition back to the ballclub as the Red Sox prepare to make a run at postseason play.

Red Sox manager Alex Cora shared with reporters in Colorado on Monday that first baseman Triston Casas may just be “turning a corner” from his rib injury, per WEEI’s Rob Bradford and MLB.com’s Ian Browne.

Casas last played on April 20 and left a major hole in the Boston lineup. The Red Sox have taken a dynamic approach to spark the offense in the meantime, though the team certainly needs their premier bat to return for the playoff push.

The Red Sox first baseman remained around the team throughout the injury with several memorable moments. In the near future as his health improves, it’s time for Casas to make his next impact at the plate to power Boston’s lineup.
