Tyler O’Neill Or Terrell Owens? Red Sox Outfielder Causes Celebration

Both players can take over the game

Who comes to mind when you here the initials T.O.? Is it Hall of Fame receiver Terrell Owens? Or, more recently, is it Red Sox outfielder Tyler O’Neill?

Either is fine, especially given how productive O’Neill has been so far to start the second half of the season for Boston.

O’Neill clubbed two home runs in a dramatic loss to the Los Angeles Dodgers on Saturday. The Red Sox slugger followed it up Tuesday night with another pair of long balls against the Colorado Rockies.

His second shot of the night cleared the bleachers in left field at Coors Field — it traveled 465 feet — to extend the Red Sox lead. The homer also sparked energy back in the NESN studios on “Unobstructed Views” as NESN analyst Will Middlebrooks broke out an old NFL celebration.

Middlebrooks referenced Owens with the moves, who dominated NFL defenses for years with 156 total touchdowns across 15 seasons in the league.
