How Red Sox Prospect Kristian Campbell Fared In Triple-A Debut

Campbell picked up where he left off

Kristian Campbell became the latest impact Red Sox prospect to earn a promotion to Triple-A Worcester in recent weeks.

Marcelo Mayer, Kyle Teel and Roman Anthony, who clubbed his first Triple-A homer in a four-hit game on Tuesday, got the call to Worcester last week. Tuesday marked the Worcester debut for Boston’s No. 5 prospect in Campbell.

After completely mashing with Double-A Portland across 56 games, Campbell picked up where he left off and immediately made a difference in the WooSox order.

Campbell served as a run producer in the No. 3 spot in the Worcester lineup. The Red Sox prospect drove in Anthony with an RBI single in his first at-bat and added two more runs with a single in the fourth inning.

The 2023 fourth-round pick out of Georgia Tech just keeps producing at each level of the farm system for the Red Sox. There’s a reason the organization’s top prospect trio compares him to legendary slugger Barry Bonds. In his Triple-A debut, Campbell just kept the line moving.

The Red Sox prospect hit .364 with eight home runs and a 1.045 OPS with Double-A Portland. He’s set to continue his surge through Boston’s system and discussed that growth with NESN.com in July.
