New England has signed seven preseason contributors to its practice squad
It was a busy day for the New England Patriots personnel department.
The Patriots on Wednesday evening announced they signed seven players to the practice squad. All seven played in New England during training camp and did not make the team’s initial 53-man roster.
The seven included: offensive tackle Liam Fornadel, running back Kevin Harris, running back Terrell Jennings, wide receiver Matt Landers, defensive end Jotham Russell, defensive back A.J. Thomas and tight end Mitchell Wilcox.
The practice squad additions were far from the only personnel moves by the team, however. New England claimed four players off the waiver wire and thus had to release four others off their 53-man roster.
Patriots newcomers include offensive tackles Demontrey Jacobs and Zachary Thomas, linebacker Curtis Jacobs and defensive tackle Eric Johnson. New England released wide receiver Jalen Reagor, cornerback Isaiah Bolden, defensive tackle Trysten Hill and offensive guard Michael Jordan.
Bailey Zappe joined the Kansas City Chiefs practice squad in another Patriots-related personnel move.
