Wolf is open to several avenues to improve the roster
Eliot Wolf will not leave any stone unturned as he continues to try to improve the Patriots.
That will continue to be the case when teams are forced to trim rosters before the start of the regular season. Opportunities should also appear on the waiver wire, which Wolf intends to pursue for the Patriots.
“Yeah, absolutely,” Wolf told reporters, per team-provided video. “Our scouting department right now, all they’re doing is just grinding through the preseason film, watching players, talking to other teams, seeing who might become available. Having a third claim spot is a good advantage, and we’ll be aggressive, I think.”
With clear needs still existing on the roster entering the regular season, the Patriots certainly still have work to do to build a higher level of competitiveness, which can be looked back upon in the roster construction of this offseason in New England.
