The Boston Red Sox have been without their primary first baseman Triston Casas for quite some time now, but Dominic Smith has exceeded expectations. His heat streak is just the tip of the iceberg for how Smith has been playing.

Riding a six-game hit streak entering Tuesday’s matchup vs. the Kansas City Royals, Smith has been hitting .333 with a home run and four RBIs during that span.
