Tyler O'Neill is out of Saturday's lineup
The Red Sox continue their series against the Diamondbacks hoping to break their funk at Fenway Park.
Boston suffered a 12-2 loss to Arizona on Friday night, continuing its lackluster results at home. Alex Cora knows his side must be better, and the Red Sox face a tough matchup Saturday with Kutter Crawford starting opposite D-Backs ace Zac Gallen.
Mickey Gasper will make his first MLB start. The New Hampshire native gets the nod at second base alongside Ceddanne Rafaela in the middle infield. Gasper doesn’t have much experience at second base in his baseball career, but he’ll look to make a strong impression in his fifth major league game.
Connor Wong rotates back into the lineup as Tyler O’Neill sits out after being a late scratch Friday.
First pitch for Red Sox-Diamondbacks is scheduled at 4:10 p.m. ET with full coverage on NESN starting with pregame at 3 p.m.
