Boston needs this series

The Red Sox open a pivotal three-game set against the Baltimore Orioles on Thursday, as they look to keep their postseason hopes alive at Oriole Park at Camden Yards.

Rob Refsnyder and Connor Wong will be there to help.

Refsnyder returns to the lineup after serving as the hero in each of Boston’s two victories over the Texas Rangers. Wong will also re-enter the order, catching Nick Pivetta.

Wilyer Abreu will remain in the second spot in the order, batting in front of Refsnyder and Rafael Devers, and behind Jarren Duran. in a lineup heavy on lefties. Masataka Yoshida, Dominic Smith, Ceddanne Rafaela and David Hamilton will round things out.

Jackson Holliday will get the start for Baltimore, playing second base and batting sixth.
