A series win is on the line Sunday in Texas
The Boston Red Sox and the Texas Rangers will wrap up their three-game series Sunday afternoon at Globe Life Field.
To the surprise of no one who knows anything about Jarren Duran, the All-Star outfielder will be in his team’s starting lineup for the series finale. Duran favored his right side after grounding out in the third inning Saturday and was spotted wincing in the seventh, but he finished the contest and will bat leadoff and play center field Sunday.
Rob Refsynder also wasn’t at 100% in the Red Sox’s last game due to illness, but he too will be back in the starting nine following his two-homer performance. Refsnyder and Duran will share an outfield with Wilyer Abreu, which could signal a second straight missed game for Tyler O’Neill.
Nick Pivetta will be on the bump for Boston looking to build off his impressive win Monday night against the Seattle Mariners. Pivetta will be opposed by a familiar face in Nathan Eovaldi, who will square off against his former team for the first time since September of last year.
