Did Robert Saleh get big-leagued?
Aaron Rodgers remains one of the biggest stars in the NFL and the New York Jets felt that benefit Thursday night.
Rodgers picked apart the New England Patriots in the first half, going 15-for-20 through the air and led a pair of touchdown drives. After one of the scoring plays for New York, head coach Robert Saleh went in for a hug with Rodgers, who brushed away his coach and stared him down as he made his way back to the sideline.
Awkward? Could be something. Could be nothing.
Regardless, Rodgers came ready to play in New York’s home opener. That’s significant after he tore his Achilles four offensive plays into Week 1 last season against the Buffalo Bills.
The Jets seek their first win over the Patriots at home at MetLife Stadium for the first time since 2015.
