It turns out Bill Belichick has interests outside of football.

Even the most ardent NFL fans might not have known this. Belichick rarely opened up with the media over the course of his tenure in New England, and when he did, it usually was a history lesson about the game he loves.

But the people who spend time with the future Pro Football Hall of Fame coach off the gridiron know the real Belichick. Included in that group is rock legend Jon Bon Jovi, who revealed some pretty shocking information about the eight-time Super Bowl champion on the latest episode of Julian Edelman's "Games with Names" podcast.

"Few people know that he was a closet drummer," Bon Jovi told the former Patriots wide receiver. "(Bon Jovi drummer) Tico (Torres) gave him some lessons and we bought him a kit."

Perhaps Belichick will dust off the drumsticks this NFL season, his first without a coaching job in the league since the '70s. That's if the 72-year-old has the time, as Belichick is staying busy with multiple media jobs.
