Boston opens its preseason slate Sunday
Bruins fans will see some very familiar faces on the TD Garden ice Sunday evening.
Boston announced its roster for its preseason matchup with the New York Rangers a little less than five hours before puck drop between the Original Six franchises. Five players who spent time in Black and Gold last season — Johnny Beecher, Patrick Brown, Mason Lohrei, Andrew Peeke, Parker Wotherspoon — are slated to play in the exhibition clash.
Other notables on the Bruins’ roster for Sunday’s game include Mark Kastelic and Vinni Lettieri, a pair of veteran forwards acquired in offseason trades. Brandon Bussi and Michael DiPietro were the pair of netminders on the slate.
Here is Boston’s full roster for the tilt with New York, per a team press release:
Forwards: Johnny Beecher, Patrick Brown, Riley Duran, John Farinacci, Mark Kastelic, Cole Koepke, Trevor Kuntar, Vinni Lettieri, Fabian Lysell, Georgii Merkulov, Jaxon Nelson, Riley Tufte
