It will be back to the typical norm this season
The Bruins’ centennial season was filled with multiple iconic moments, but the 2024-25 season looks to be back to normal look for the team.
Boston on Saturday released a hype video with the caption, “There’s a chill in the air,” ahead of its preseason opener on Sept. 22. The team also included pictures on X of the ice at TD Garden.
It didn’t take Bruins fans long to see that the centennial logo no longer is featured on center ice and that the Black and Gold are back to their regular Spoked-B logo. The same change was seen at captains’ practice at Warrior Ice Arena last week.
While the centennial season might be over, the 2024-25 season will feature a centennial game between the Bruins and Montreal Canadiens on Dec. 1, which is the 100th anniversary of the club’s first-ever game against the Montreal Maroons.
The changes were made as rookie camp began this week. Boston’s training camp is scheduled to begin Wednesday. NESN announced the full programming schedule for the Bruins preseason and the “Back to Work” series. The B’s face the New York Rangers for their preseason opener at TD Garden at 5 p.m. ET.
