How Bronze Medalist Started Olympic Career From Massachusetts Roots

Frederick Richard went to work in Paris this summer

Frederick Richard brought hardware back to the United States this summer as the gymnast took a bronze medal at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris.

That path to international Olympic glory had a local start for Richard. The Stoughton, Mass. native rose from his time in New England to competing on the world’s biggest stage.

Following the Olympics in France, Richard currently tours with “Gold Over America” with headliners such as legendary USA gymnast Simone Biles. The tour rides into Boston on Oct. 6 and 7.

Richard stopped by NESN’s “Boston Has Entered The Chat” podcast to chat with George Balekji about earning a medal at the Olympics and the tour’s upcoming stop in Boston.

You can catch the full interview on YouTube or on Spotify.
