Austin tried to hold on
The New York Jets seemingly dominated the New England Patriots in every facet of a 24-3 victory on Thursday night at MetLife Stadium.
The scoring started when wideout Allen Lazard broke free from Patriots cornerback Alex Austin, who held on to a loose piece of Lazard’s undershirt, for the first touchdown of the night. Austin’s grip made for quite the visual as the Jets took it and ran with it on social media.

The Jets move to 2-1 in the season as Rodgers gets his first full home win with New York. The four-time MVP passed for 281 yards and two touchdowns as the Patriots missed tackle after tackle throughout the night.
New England falls to 1-2. The Patriots return to action in California when they visit the San Francisco 49ers in 10 days.
