Jalen Reagor didn't show much awareness Tuesday
Life came at Jalen Reagor pretty fast Tuesday.
Reagor aired out frustration about his situation in New England via Instagram a few days after Patriots wide receivers were significantly underutilized in a loss to the Seattle Seahawks at Gillette Stadium. The social media post clearly did not go over well with team decision-makers, as Reagor was swiftly released from the Patriots practice squad.
It was a very tough look for the 2020 first-round pick, who was picked apart by fans on social media after he was shown the door in Foxboro, Mass.
This was not the first time the Patriots disciplined a wide receiver for social media activity this season. Javon Baker, a 2024 fourth-round pick who made his NFL debut in Week 2, was a healthy scratch for New England’s season opener against the Cincinnati Bengals after taking to Instagram Live to vent about a traffic violation.
Patriots wideouts will try to put the group in a more positive light Thursday night when New England visits the AFC East rival New York Jets for the NFL’s first game of Week 3. Kickoff for the primetime game at MetLife Field is scheduled for 8:15 p.m. ET.
