The Seahawks had a star player miss practice
Rhamondre Stevenson and David Andrews showing up on the New England Patriots injury report normally would be a cause for concern.
But not this time for two key cogs in New England’s offense.
Even though it is very early into the season, Stevenson and Andrews both received non-injury related maintenance days Wednesday as the Patriots released their first injury report ahead of Sunday’s Week 2 matchup against the Seattle Seahawks at Gillette Stadium. They were limited participants in the practice session.
Stevenson carried the ball 25 times for 120 yards and a touchdown in the Patriots’ season-opening win over the Cincinnati Bengals while Andrews played 100% of the team’s offensive snaps. With the Patriots offense predicated on the run game, it’s clear the Patriots want to keep Stevenson and Andrews as fresh as possible.
The only member of the Patriots who didn’t practice Wednesday was left guard Sidy Sow. Sow didn’t play against the Bengals as he dealt with an ankle injury.
