Patriots Injury Report: Two Starting O-Linemen Ruled Out Vs. Jets

Caedan Wallace is in line to start Thursday

The Patriots could ask a rookie to fix one of their biggest issues Thursday.

New England on Wednesday announced a few game statuses for its upcoming matchup with the New York Jets, revealing that offensive tackle Vederian Lowe and offensive guard Sidy Sow would not be making the trip to East Rutherford, N.J.

Ja’Whaun Bentley, who is likely to miss the remainder of the regular season after suffering a torn pectoral muscle in Sunday’s loss to the Seattle Seahawks, and Oshane Ximines will also miss the Week 3 matchup.

Caedan Wallace and Michael Jordan are expected to take over for Lowe and Sow on the left side of the offensive line, respectively. Wallace, a third-round rookie, has yet to make a start but was involved as a jumbo tight end over the first two weeks of the season. Jordan has made two starts at left guard.

David Andrews (hip), Mike Onwenu (wrist), Jabrill Peppers (shoulder) and Deatrich Wise Jr. (shoulder) were all listed as questionable, though they’re expected to play.
