Patriots Make Series Of Roster Moves Before Facing Jets

New England added an offensive lineman to the active roster

The New England Patriots head into a short week to battle the New York Jets to begin Week 3. Leading up to the AFC East matchup, New England made a series of roster moves.

The Patriots added guard Michael Jordan, who also took game reps during the preseason, to the 53-man roster from the practice squad. New England also had four more transactions on the practice squad, signing cornerback DJ James and safety Mark Perry while releasing linebacker Yvandy Rigby and safety AJ Thomas, per a team release.

Jordan has logged two games so far with the Patriots and marks his third team in five NFL seasons after the Cincinnati Bengals drafted him in the fourth round in 2019 out of Ohio State.

New England’s offensive line will face a test in primetime against Quinnen Williams and a capable New York front. The Patriots allowed three sacks of quarterback Jacoby Brissett in Sunday’s home loss to the Seattle Seahawks.

The Patriots and Jets kick off from MetLife Stadium on Thursday night at 8:15 p.m. ET.
