Promising Bruins Prospects Back In Bruins Lineup For Flyers Matchup

Boston also will have its top two goalies in action Saturday

The Bruins continue preseason action Saturday, and they’ll have two promising roster hopefuls in the lineup.

Boston got a first look at David Pastrnak as well as the pairing of Charlie McAvoy and Nikita Zadorov when it played the New York Rangers on Thursday. Morgan Geekie showed he’s ready for his second season in the Black and Gold, and Mark Kastelic showcased the makings of a future fan favorite.

For Saturday’s lineup, Jim Montgomery and his staff will get another look at Fabian Lysell and Georgii Merkulov. The pair of forwards bounced back in the second preseason game after disappointing in their preseason debuts.

Fans also will get another look at where Matt Poitras will potentially line up as the coaching staff figures out if center or right wing is the best spot for the second-year forward.

Boston will have seven defensemen in the lineup, including Jackson Edward, who will make his preseason debut for the Black and Gold.

Saturday also marks the first time Joonas Korpisalo and Brandon Bussi dress in goal for the Bruins. The pair are the top two goalies for Boston as Jeremy Swayman continues to negotiate a new contract with the team.
