Red Sox-Twins Postponed Due To Weather, Make Up Date Set

It's a wet one in Boston

BOSTON — Red Sox manager Alex Cora said the club would do everything in their power to make sure a game was played Saturday.

Mother Nature had other ideas.

Boston announced that its game scheduled for Saturday against the Minnesota Twins was postponed due to a forecast of continued rain showers in the area around Fenway Park.

The Red Sox and Twins will play a rescheduled game as part of a split doubleheader on Sunday, with the originally scheduled game beginning at 12:35 p.m. ET and the postponed game beginning at 5:35 p.m. ET. Bostonians and Minnesotans alike will be glad to hear that tickets for Saturday’s game will be good for admission to the rescheduled contest.

Boston and Minnesota will play both games of the twin-billing on NESN, with full coverage beginning an hour prior to the start of Game 1.
