Red Sox Vs. Blue Jays Lineups: Boston Goes For Series Sweep

Richard Fitts will get the start for the Red Sox

The Boston Red Sox will go for a series sweep of the Toronto Blue Jays at Rogers Centre on Wednesday night.

Boston, which is 3 1/2 games back of an American League wild-card spot with four games remaining, is coming off a 6-5 victory in extra innings.

Left fielder Tyler O’Neill returns to the lineup and will bat cleanup. Connor Wong is back behind the plate in place of Danny Jansen, and Wong will catch 24-year-old right-hander Richard Fitts. Fitts has pitched 15-plus innings over the course of three starts for Boston and has yet to allow an earned run.

The Blue Jays will counter with veteran right-hander Kevin Gausman, who threw five hitless innings against the Texas Rangers last week.

First pitch from Rogers Centre is scheduled for 7:07 p.m. ET, and you can watch it live on NESN after an hour of pregame coverage.
