Boston welcomes Baltimore for a three-game set
The Boston Red Sox open a three-game set against the Baltimore Orioles at Fenway Park on Monday night.
Boston is coming off a weekend series win over the Chicago White Sox, though the hosts fell 7-2 in the series finale Sunday.
Brayan Bello will get the ball for the Red Sox, who are four games back of the third wild-card spot in the American League. The young right-hander is coming off a performance in which he allowed four runs on seven hits in five innings against the New York Mets last week.
The Orioles will counter with left-hander Cade Povich, who threw 7 1/3 scoreless innings against the White Sox last week.
Trevor Story will start his third consecutive game at shortstop while Connor Wong will take over for Triston Casas at first base. Danny Jansen will fill in for Wong behind the plate and catch Bello.
First pitch from Fenway Park is scheduled for 7:10 p.m. ET, and you can watch it live on NESN following an hour of pregame coverage.
