Red Sox Vs. Orioles Lineups: Trevor Story Returns For Rubber Match

Story sat Tuesday

The Boston Red Sox and Baltimore Orioles will meet at Fenway Park on Wednesday, with the home club needing a victory to keep their postseason chances alive.

Trevor Story will re-enter the order to try and make that happen.

Red Sox manager Alex Cora actually only made the one personnel change, with Story replacing Enmanuel Valdez in the order. Boston will shuffle Ceddanne Rafaela over to second base and inserting Story at shortstop and having him bat eighth. It’s Rafaela’s first start of the season at second.

Orioles manager Brandon Hyde also made minimal changes, inserting Austin Slater and Emmanuel Rivera into the order for Coby Mayo and James McCann. Adley Rutschman will move to catcher, with Slater playing right field and Rivera playing third. Anthony Santander will DH.

The Sox and O’s are scheduled to take the field at Fenway Park at 7:10 p.m. ET, and the action can be seen on NESN following an hour of pregame coverage. We’ve got the projected lineups here.
