Boston is right-handed heavy Thursday
The Red Sox continue fighting for their postseason lives Thursday, as they head to Yankee Stadium for the start of a four-game series with the New York Yankees.
Red Sox manager Alex Cora is rolling with a recent trend, too.
Boston will have six right-handed bats in the lineup Thursday, with Romy Gonzalez and Danny Jansen all returning to face off with left-handed starter Nestor Cortes
Triston Casas, Masataka Yoshida and Rob Refsnyder — a last-second scratch — will start on the bench.
Ceddanne Rafaela will move from second base to center field, while Jarren Duran shifts from center to left. Tyler O’Neil will be the DH. Connor Wong will get some more work at first base with Jansen doing the catching.
The Sox and Yanks are scheduled to take the field in The Bronx at 7:15 p.m. ET, and the action can be seen on NESN following an hour of pregame coverage. We’ve got the projected lineups here.
