WORCESTER, Mass. -- Roman Anthony made waves in 2023, rising through three levels of the Boston Red Sox minor league system.
Along with his "Big Three" teammates in Marcelo Mayer and Kyle Teel, Anthony made another jump to Triple-A Worcester in August. Since his arrival, Baseball America's latest No. 1 prospect is slashing .337/.418/.519 with three home runs, 12 extra-base hits and a .937 OPS.
It's just the latest development for the 20-year-old who holds potential beyond his years in the Red Sox farm system.
"It's the same thing I've done at every level," Anthony told NESN.com at Polar Park on Thursday. "I've been the young guy at pretty much every level I've played at. Just coming in and learning from the guys and leaning on guys who are around me and the coordinators we have. The coaching staff we have, leaning on those guys and learning. A lot of them were in my shoes and were once the young guy."

Anthony added: "When it's game time, going in-between the lines the same way I have my whole life. It's a kid's game and have fun doing it. That doesn't change for me."
The Red Sox prospect wraps up the Triple-A regular season next week with major league possibilities for the 2025 season.
