Twins Vs. Red Sox Game 1 Lineups: Vaughn Grissom Makes First Start Since June

Grissom was promoted by Boston on Friday

Mother Nature prevented baseball at Fenway Park on Saturday, so the Red Sox and the Twins will play two Sunday.

Game 1 of the doubleheader will mark Vaughn Grissom’s return to Boston’s starting lineup. Grissom was recalled from Triple-A Worcester on Friday and entered the series opener in extra innings, but he hasn’t been in Alex Cora’s starting nine since June 1. The 23-year-old will play second base and bat sixth in the matinee matchup.

Nick Pivetta will be on the mound for the Red Sox looking to bounce back from his underwhelming start Tuesday in Tampa Bay. The veteran right-hander will be caught by Danny Jansen and opposed by Pablo López, who has only suffered one loss since July 6.
