Patriots head coach Jerod Mayo on Monday pushed back on reports his players weren’t fully dialed in when New England traveled to London.

ESPN’s Mike Reiss on Sunday reported rookie wide receiver Javon Baker failed to follow the team’s itinerary ahead of the Week 7 game against the Jacksonville Jaguars. NBC Sport Boston’s Phil Perry issued a follow-up a few hours later and reported Baker missed curfew Saturday night in London.

Mayo on Monday morning told WEEI’s “The Greg Hill Show” those reports were inaccurate.

“Guys being out in London, simply not true,” Mayo told the radio station. “Those stories continue to come out where — it’s just not true. So I’m not sure where it’s coming from, but everyone has their sources, again working in the media I understand how that works, but it’s simply not true.”

So nobody missed curfew?

“I’m saying this: We did not have people out in London,” Mayo said. “That’s what I’m saying. I’m not going back to London. I don’t want to go back to London.”

“The guys in the locker room, they do what we need to do to go out there and perform. Look, we’ll win or whatever happens happens But at the same time these guys are professionals and they’ve acted that way.”

Following New England’s embarrassing loss to the Jaguars, Kendrick Bourne told the Boston Herald that players must make better decisions. The veteran wideout specifically noted nutrition and rest as areas where Patriots players could show more buy-in.

Bourne’s comments jump-started speculation players were out even before the two reports surfaced.
