Amari Cooper is joining the Bills
The Patriots saw not one, but two superstar wide receivers join the AFC East on Tuesday.
The Bills are acquiring wide receiver Amari Cooper from the Cleveland Browns, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Media. Cleveland will receive a third- and seventh-round pick while Buffalo receives Cooper and a sixth-round pick in the deal.
Davante Adams was traded to the New York Jets just hours prior.
The Browns converted $18.79 million of the veteran’s $20 million salary to a signing bonus back in March, per Tom Pelissero of NFL Media. He’ll cost just $806,667 for his new team.
Cooper fills a major roster void for the Bills, who have been looking for a true top wideout since trading Stefon Diggs to the Houston Texans. Buffalo now adds a five-time Pro Bowl selection — who has 691 receptions for 9,736 yards and 62 touchdowns across his decade in the NFL — for star Josh Allen.
