There is no love lost between Patriots fans and the New York Jets.

In fact, the animosity runs so deep that New Englanders will more than likely be obsessed with what Philadelphia Eagles offensive tackle Mekhi Becton said about the Jets as he prepares to return to the stadium where he began his NFL career.

“I don’t wanna play in that (expletive) stadium,” Becton told CBS Sports’ Jeff Kerr. “It’s bad. Everything is just bad about that stadium. I don’t really like it. I’m just glad I only gotta do it one time a year. Just gotta go in there, do my 1-11 and go home.”

Even though the Eagles are playing the Giants, not the Jets, in Week 7, the two New York teams play their home games on the same field at MetLife Stadium. The Jets were always considered a second-tier franchise to the Giants, according to Becton.

“It’s like a whole other side,” Becton said, per Kerr. “The way I put it, when I was there, we was like the little brothers to them. On their side, they had all their trophies and Super Bowls, and on our side — we were the New York Jets.”

Becton and the Eagles will look to hand the Giants their second straight loss in Sunday’s NFC East matchup. Philadelphia is second in the division behind the Washington Commanders at 3-2 on the season, while New York is in the cellar at 2-4.
