Plus: The Patriots will be without a starting safety Kyle Dugger
FOXBORO, Mass. — Joshua Uche is involved in trade speculation, and the New England Patriots edge rusher was deemed a healthy scratch against the New York Jets.
NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero reported Saturday night Uche is “floating” in trade conversations. Uche weighed in on the rumors himself.
In addition to Uche, the Patriots made a few tweaks to their gameday lineup.
Left tackle Vederian Lowe is active, meaning New England has the option to start the same offensive line as it did in Week 6 against the Houston Texans. The Patriots started seven different offensive line combinations over the first seven weeks.
Lowe’s return means the Patriots are healthy enough to start Lowe, left guard Michael Jordan, center Ben Brown, right guard Mike Onwenu and right tackle Demontrey Jacobs. Of course, New England could change something else and create another new combination.
Starting safety Kyle Dugger is inactive after he surfaced on the injury report with an ankle injury.
New England will have six receivers on the gameday roster: DeMario Douglas, Kendrick Bourne, Kayshon Boutte, K.J. Osborn, Tyquan Thornton and Javon Baker. Thornton and Baker were both healthy scratches the last two weeks. Rookie Ja’Lynn Polk was ruled out after he was in the concussion protocol this week.
