Tom Brady Sees ‘Amazing’ Chance To Broadcast AFC Team In Super Bowl LIX

Will the Chiefs three-peat?

Tom Brady and the New England Patriots went to three straight Super Bowls, from 2016 to the 2018 season, winning Super Bowl LI and LIII.

Patrick Mahomes has the Kansas City Chiefs at 6-0 to start the season. They are also seeking a third straight trip to the Super Bowl after back-to-back championships, the first team to do so since Brady’s Patriots in 2003 and 2004.

Brady now gets to watch Mahomes from the broadcast booth with FOX after beating him three times as a player, including Super Bowl LV with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. During an interview with the NFL’s top quarterback before Week 7, Brady outlined this possibility at the end of the season.

“I will say this, you’re 16-1 on FOX,” Brady told Mahomes. “Two of your Super Bowl wins have been on FOX. I get to be in New Orleans this year because I’m doing the game and it would be amazing to watch you compete. It’s a long way from now, but what a pleasure it is to be with you. Good luck the rest of the way.”

Brady just became a minority owner of Mahomes’ division rivals the Las Vegas Raiders. Brady will broadcast his first Super Bowl in the same building he won his first championship in as a player in Super Bowl XXXVI in Caesars Superdome.

Super Bowl LIX with Brady and Kevin Burkhardt on the call is set for Feb. 9 on FOX.
