Pro wrestling fans quickly chose their side
Early voting and the month before the United States presidential election means a media blitz is expected, and a pair of WWE legends made their voices known.
Dave Bautista, aka Batista, went viral this week for his segment on “Jimmy Kimmel Live.” The pro-wrestler-turned-actor mocked former U.S. president Donald Trump over his masculinity or lack thereof. The video aimed to shred the façade Trump built up about his masculinity and give people a different vision of what that means.
Then on Friday, Trump released a TikTok of him with Mark Callaway, aka the Undertaker, and Glenn Jacobs, aka Kane. Callaway took a more direct approach and told viewers that their choice was Trump, Undertaker and Kane or Bautista, Kamala Harris and Tim Walz. The TikTok was released after it was rumored Trump would appear on Callaway’s podcast “Six Feet Under.”
Pro wrestling fans quickly took their side. Because of their iconic WWE careers, fans posted clips of Bautista spearing Undertaker or giving him a spinebuster. And there were those on the other side claiming Undertaker was better than Bautista in WWE.
Callaway’s public jab at Bautista also ironically came after Bautista praised Callaway for giving him professional advice early in his career.
