Bruins Honor Linus Ullmark With Touching Tribute Video In Return

Ullmark got a strong ovation from the TD Garden crowd

BOSTON — Linus Ullmark only played three seasons for the Boston Bruins, but he left his mark on the Original Six franchise.

If that wasn’t clear already then the tribute video the Bruins played to honor Linus Ullmark in his return to TD Garden with the Ottawa Senators on Saturday night drove it home.

The Bruins put together a touching compilation of Ullmark’s best moments from his time with Boston, including several highlight-reel saves, the goal he scored against the Vancouver Canucks and Ullmark winning the the Vezina Trophy in the 2022-23 season.

You can watch the video montage here.

The memories certainly came flooding back for Bruins fans, who gave a resounding ovation in appreciation of what Ullmark accomplished with Boston. Jeremy Swayman, who shared a pregame moment with Ullmark, also tapped the ice with his stick for his former goalie partner.

Ullmark acknowledged the applause by putting his stick high into the air and skating around for a few moments.

Ullmark, who initially signed with Boston in July 2021, posted an 88-26-10 record with the Bruins to go along with a 2.28 goals-against average and a .924 save percentage. He also won the William M. Jennings Trophy alongside Swayman in 2022-23 for allowing the fewest goals in the NHL.

And Bruins fans certainly didn’t forget all he contributed to the organization in a relatively short period of time.
